Team Member Spotlight: Courtney Cotter

Registered Principal Delegate

What are your favorite pastime hobbies outside of work?

Travel with my husband, Andy. Whether it is heading to northern Minnesota for a long weekend, or to Turks and Caicos for a week, we enjoy “adventuring around” and spending quality time together! We also spend time boating on Lake Minnetonka and checking out new restaurants in the Twin Cities. Quiet nights at home snuggled up with our kitties (Milo, Mabel, and Grace) are also a favorite of mine. I’m currently making my 3rd attempt (3rd time is a charm, right?) at having a fruitful organic backyard vegetable garden.

What are your top 5 values?

Integrity, Meaningful Work, Helping Others, Travel & Health

What is your role at Jambalaya Group?

I am a Registered Principal Delegate working closely with Bernie to provide advisor practice supervision and oversight. I enjoy being the go-to resource for “all things compliance”. I can help advisors interpret policies, utilize tools, and navigate the everchanging compliance environment.

What’s the last book you read?

My What if Year: A Memoir by Alisha Fernandez Miranda. Who hasn’t wondered “what if…?” This book follows a CEO, Ivy League graduate, and mother as she takes a year off to become a 40-year-old unpaid intern in various fields exploring what life may look like had she taken a different career path. While I can’t say I’ve ever wanted to work as a Broadway production assistant, I enjoyed following this author’s journey! The book is a great reminder that you are never too old for a new learning opportunity.
